Ruben Östlund, a two-time Palme d’Or winner, is back with a new film titled ‘The Entertainment System Is Down.’ This satire is set on a long-haul flight from the UK to Australia, where the entertainment system fails, forcing passengers to face the horror of boredom. The film is currently shooting in Budapest and features a star-studded cast including Kirsten Dunst, Daniel Brühl, Keanu Reeves, Nicholas Braun, and Julie Delpy.
French distributor Memento has acquired the rights for France, marking one of the last territories to secure the film. Other major distributors include:

- Lionsgate Films for the UK
- SF Studios for the Nordic region
The film is produced by Sweden’s Plattform Produktion along with partners from Germany and France, and co-produced by several European broadcasters and film institutes.
