MEP Walsh recently hosted a special visit for 46 constituents from the Midlands-North West region, including members of the Trim Men’s Shed, at the European Parliament in Brussels.
This visit was part of a four-day trip aimed at exploring Belgium and gaining a deeper understanding of the workings of European democracy. The group toured the European Parliament, where they learned about the legislative process and the role of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs).
The visit provided a unique opportunity for the constituents to engage directly with European institutions and experience the political heart of Europe.
Events like these strengthen the connection between European representatives and their communities, encouraging active participation and awareness of European Union affairs.
The Trim Men’s Shed group expressed their appreciation for the chance to visit and learn more about European governance firsthand.
