India and Germany Boost Partnership in Trade, Technology, and Green Energy

On 23 October 2025, a significant meeting took place in Berlin between Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, and German Federal Minister of Economy and Energy, Katherina Reiche. Their dialogue aimed to enhance cooperation between India and Germany, building upon a previous video conference held on 7 August 2025.

In addition to his meeting with Minister Reiche, Minister Goyal also connected with Dr. Levin Holle, Germany’s Economic and Financial Policy Advisor at the Federal Chancellery and Sherpa for the G7 and G20. They explored deeper economic ties and cooperation on global economic issues.

Minister Goyal chaired a roundtable at the Indian Embassy in Berlin with CEOs and leaders of German Mittelstand companies, which are small and medium-sized enterprises integral to Germany’s economy. These leaders expressed robust interest in expanding their investments and operations in India.
