Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unveiled a decisive plan to gain full control of Gaza amid the ongoing conflict. He emphasized that Israel is making substantial progress in its military campaign and remains committed to controlling the entire Gaza Strip. Recently, Israel intensified its attacks, targeting over 160 locations in Gaza within a single day.
This escalation has triggered sharp criticism from countries including the UK, France, and Canada. These nations condemned Israel’s military actions as severe and threatened possible sanctions if the offensive continues. They also voiced deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis, highlighting the urgent need for aid as Gaza’s population faces starvation.
For the first time in more than two months, a limited number of aid trucks carrying essential supplies, such as baby food, were permitted entry into Gaza. Netanyahu said this humanitarian gesture was necessary to combat negative international perceptions of a mass starvation crisis.
The conflict intensified following the Hamas attack in October 2023 on southern Israel, which resulted in over 1,200 Israeli deaths and numerous hostages taken by militants. Since March 18, Israeli strikes have caused a significant increase in casualties within Gaza.
Netanyahu stated that the war will only conclude if three conditions are met:
- Hostages are freed.
- Hamas is fully disarmed.
- Gaza is demilitarized.
He urged world leaders to support this vision, warning that any outcome less than these demands will be unacceptable to Israel.
