SEVILLE, SPAIN – In a significant move towards enhancing road safety across Europe, Euro NCAP and Data for Road Safety (DFRS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the 16th ITS European Congress 2025. The event, hosted by the City of Seville and ERTICO-ITS Europe, brought together key stakeholders dedicated to improving transport safety.
This partnership aims to combine Euro NCAP’s expertise in vehicle safety assessment with DFRS’s advanced data analytics to create safer road environments. The collaboration focuses on leveraging data-driven insights and cutting-edge technologies to reduce road accidents and fatalities.
Both organizations will work closely to:
- Develop innovative safety protocols
- Promote the use of real-world data in evaluating and enhancing vehicle safety standards
The MoU signals a new chapter in cooperative efforts to make European roads safer for all users, including drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. This alliance represents a proactive approach to tackling road safety challenges through shared knowledge and resources.
